Fish - Longevity Booster or Mercury Danger?

Monday August 6, 2007
It seems there is always a catch to good health news. First we hear that red wine is good for you, and then we find out they gave the rats in the study the equivalent of 15 bottles a day. next, we hear that chocolate is good for you, but you still have to count calories.

For ages, we have been told that fish is good for you, but the mercury content in fish forces us to be cautious. Pregnant women and children under the age of 6 should have no more than 12 ounces of fish a week - and should only eat fish with low mercury amounts. The rest of us also need to limit the amount of fish we eat.

Confused about which fish to eat and how much to have? Read this article about the Best Types of Fish for Health.
