Jeanne Calment, World's Longest Lived Person

Jeanne Calment, of France, is the official record holder for longevity. Her well-documented life was 122 years long. This is 8 years longer than the current oldest person (Edna Parker, 114).

Are we likely to see Jeanne's record broken in the near future? Over the past few years there have fewer claims to extreme longevity - possible because records from the late 1800s exist to prevent exaggerated claims that were popular just a few decades ago.
