Can Science Extend Life?

Wednesday October 24, 2007
Maybe -- but there is nothing definite yet. Science "futurists" and science fiction writers have long embraced the idea of technology that will extend human life. So far there are a lot of theories and very little science.

What we do know is that calorie restriction can extend life in mice and (most likely) in people too (the studies are just beginning to come out in humans). Everything else is more about preventing illness and healthy aging. Right now, focus your efforts on living a healthy lifestyle - that's is your best bet to add year to your own life.
