Chair Yoga - A New Senior Exercise Craze?

For seniors in the 70+ crowd, the getting up and down on the floor of yoga is not a good options. Arthritis and other age-related conditions make yoga a bit unreachable (so to speak).

Now, a formal program of "Chair Yoga" has been developed to help seniors get some of the flexibility and balance benefits of Yoga without having to unroll the yoga mat.

Be prepared to see chair yoga classes being offered for seniors - this seems like a fun, effective and safe form of exercise for many seniors who might otherwise avoid exercise.
