Remember Your Meds!

In medical jargon, they call is "adherence" and what it means is how much a patient follows what is prescribed to them. The answer is "not very much" on average. This just amazes me. We spend gobs of money to get a diagnosis and go through testing and then many (most?) people simply do not take their medications correctly.

Of course, it is hard to remember to take medications daily. It is also hard to take a medication that has a negative side effect -- but medications are the primary means doctors have to treat illness. Use these tips to take your medications correctly and make a commitment to do your best to follow your doctor's orders.
