Question: How Do Free Radicals Cause Aging?
Answer: Free radicals are molecules produced through normal digestive processes. These molecules have a free electron which makes them highly reactive and unstable. This reactive process damages the body's organs and cells. Free radicals are involved in aging, as well as numerous chronic illnesses such as cancer and cardiovascular disease. Antioxidants can protect the body against damage from free radicals.
