Question: How Does Homocysteine Affect Aging?
Answer: Homocysteine is an amino acid that is produced when the body digests protein. Too much homocysteine in the blood may be a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases such as stroke and heart disease. Homocysteine levels can be controlled through a diet rich in whole grains, fruits and vegetables.
