The Bottom Line

MoveVie is a good source of antioxidants and nutrients in a tasty drink. The nutritional profile is good and seems accurate, and the company seems to be careful about making any detailed health claims apart from the nutritional properties of the products. The main downside is cost ($30+ per bottle) and the fact that you need to go through a "network" to get the product.

Pros

  • Tastes good and well packaged.
  • Accurate nutritional profile.
  • Can develop into a daily habit.

Cons

  • Need to purchase through "network."
  • On the higher end, in terms of costs.

Description

  • Well-packaged (think wine) nutritional drink that actually tastes good.
  • Contains a reasonable profile of antioxidants and other nutrients that are helpful to the body.
  • $30ish a bottle and obtained through a network marketing system.

Guide Review - MonaVie Antioxidant and Nutrional Drink

A lot of nutritional drinks are on the market, almost all of them claim to have "antioxidants" and "acai berry" or other such exotic superfoods. I have tried many and MonaVie is one of my favorites, mostly because it is well packaged and tastes good.

MonaVie -- What I Like

MonaVie comes in a lovely bottle, much like a wine bottle. The drink is a rich, slightly sweet drink that tastes good. Unlike other antioxidant drinks, it tastes good from the first taste (no having to "get used to it"). The suggested amount, about a shot a day, makes a bottle lasts a long time. The nutritional profile look accurate, based on the information available. It seems reasonable that drinking MonaVie regularly will increase (as claimed) the amount of antioxidants and other nutrients in your body.

MonaVie -- What I Don't Like

The main drawback of MonaVie is the cost -- at $30 a bottle, there is quite a commitment to trying a bottle. Of course, compared to some supplements, this cost is quite reasonable. But (at least for me) it is hard to pay more for a nutritional drink in a wine bottle than I normally pay for wine. Just a illogical problem in my brain.

The other drawback (which may also be personal) is that MonaVie is sold through network marketing -- that means that a person, maybe a friend, is trying to sell MonaVie to make some money. I am always wary of these types of arrangements, mostly because I don't want my social relationships to turn into seller-customer relationships. Again, this may be personal, but for me it is a turnoff.
