- Telephone Amplifiers Some telephones have special receivers that can amplify sound for easier hearing. Other telephones come equipped with devices that can work with your hearing aid directly.
- TV and Radio Devices Portable headphones and other devices can help you to listen to TV or radio without having to turn the volume up high (and bother other people in your house). These devices can range from simple headphones to more complicated directional speakers and headphones.
- Alerts Visual alerts are available for things in your home that use sound as an alert. You can get a special light that flashes when a doorbell rings, for example. Vibrating alerts are also an option. There are smoke detectors and alarm clocks that use both light and vibration to alert you, as well.
