Question: What Trait is Most Important in a Relationship?
Answer: Most people think having the support of a partner during difficult times is the most important thing in a relationships, but researchers have found that how your partner reacts to your good news predicts who will be together years from now. According to Shelly Gable, in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, people who felt true joy at the good news of their partner formed stronger bonds than those who were jealous. She says it is better to increase each other's happiness than support each other when things are tough.
