Question: How Can Acupuncture Help Chemotherapy?

Answer: Whether acupuncture can directly treat cancer is unknown, but studies have shown that acupuncture is very effective (in some people) in treating nausea caused by chemotherapy. If your chemotherapy is causing you nausea, ask your doctor about seeing an acupuncturist. Acupuncture is painless, relaxing and effective for treating nausea. Call your local Cancer Society for a referral.
