Question: Can Heart Disease Be Reversed by Diet?
Answer: Dr. Dean Ornish showed that a low fat, primarily vegetarian, whole grain diet can reduce the damage caused by heart disease. However, many people find his diet very restrictive and difficult to adhere to, especially if they are used to eating fast food or processed food. Anyone who has been diagnosed with a cardiovascular condition should learn all they can about how changes in what you eat can help minimize or reverse damage.
