All of our internal organs such as heart, lungs and kidneys are the same size of our fist and they can do limited action for our body system. When we eat large amount of foods, all these organs doing for over time and they can deteriotate lin future.Later we all suffer the symptons of various kinds of chronic disease. Thus we all need to reduce the cholestrol level by eating more fruits,veggies,anti-aging herbs and regular exercise is key for long live life in future.

Diabetes Breakthroughs
- Your top 10 are pretty impressive, but here is one you missed that is the #5 cause of deaths in the U.S. - diabetes. Only recently have scientists discovered that the insulin producing beta cells of the pancreas in patients with type 1 diabetes can be regenerated. It was previously thought that once the immune system destroyed islets cells they were gone for good. Now, we know that there are enough cells that can be regenerated. Problem is, the same autoimmune reaction that destroyed them the cells in the first place will do so again so we still need to find a way to stop the body from attacking itself before a cure for type 1 is found. So another major breakthrough in diabetes worth a mention is a vaccine that prevented and reversed type 1 diabetes in rats. Human trials are now underway.

H1N1 Vaccine
- I know I'll take some flack for this, but I think the response to H1N1 is a big breakthrough. Not so much that the response was excellent, but now that we have had one pandemic "exercise" like H1N1, we'll be better positioned for the next, inevitable, outbreak. I bet years from now, we'll look back and see just how much we've learned from the H1N1 outbreak.
