Deap Breaths and Warm Bath

I use to have a hard time falling asleep and im only 17. i find that even tho you think your not sleepy your body isssss. So around 10 at most try to feel how tired you are. Lie down after a warm bath and breath deep breaths. long deep breaths until your heart rate slowly goes down. Picture your body slowly shuting down into rest mode, like turning on all the lights off in your house, focus on relaxing ur feet first, your chest, breathing, and snooooozeee =]

sleep tips

how to get enough sleep!aduklts still need at least 8 hrs of sleeps. but as we get older,we have difficulties getting sleep. i researched on ways to have a good night sleep

Eating Before Bed

Don't eat anything after 9pm at night. Your body needs to focus on repairing at night, not on digesting your food. Also- it is possible to lose 10 lbs just by not allowing yourself to eat after a certain time. It worked for Oprah.

Feet Massage

Soaking your feet in warm water and massaging them with hot oils induces peaceful sleep

Sleep Disorders

Sir,I am an aged man crossed72 yrs. I wakeup 5to6times at nights and have to go to bathroom everytme. When tests were made no sugar was found either in urine or blood. This disturbs sleep Sd/sastry FROM DR. MARK: Nocturia (waking up to urinate) can have many causes. This is really something you'll need to figure out with a good physician. There are medications and some "home" remedies that are thought to help in some situations - but I would advice keeping up the investigation with your doctor.

Clock

Do not look at your clock every 2 minutes!!! It is very annoying to watch time tick away 12, 1,2,2:30,3 I just get paranoid!

Relax to Sleep Better

Letting your muscles relax further with every exhaled breath when going to sleep will help you feel more refreshed the next morning. If your muscles, especially neck and shoulders, are tense when you go to sleep, you'll feel tired when you wake up in the morning.

LC

I don't normally have any problems falling asleep at night because I stay busy all day long and I look forward to my time at home. If I sit down, I bet you two to one, my eyes start getting heavy and my husband usually has to tell me to go to bed. I've got so many unread e-mails because of it.

Deep Breathing

I used to suffer from insomnia very badly. Now I use a combination of meditation and breathing techniques to put my mind at rest and drift off to sleep. Doesn't always work when my SO is snoring though!

sleeping problem

I do not get slippy till i take a medicine called Alzolam.I am doing this since last 10 years.but i want to get out of it.Please suggest. From Dr. Mark: First, try the lifestyle changes mentioned here. If those don't work, I would suggest talking to a sleep expert. My guess is that your medicine was prescribed by a physician, but not a sleep doctor. You may have a sleep disorder or other problem that needs treatment. Search "sleep hygiene,""sleep disorders" and "sleep doctor" in the search box on this page to find out more. Good luck.

relaxation CDs

I borrow relaxation CDs from the library. Deep breathing and concentrating on relaxing all parts of my body. Then there's some of us who suffer from pain and can't sleep. Hot or cold compresses, pillows, rubs, and meds of course. And sometimes I get up and have some toast. :)

Work it

Vigorous masturbation always helps me. A little baby oil, some rhythm, and it's light-out.

Easy sleep

I turn on the small TV in my room, set the timer for 30 minutes, and never see it turn off. Must be by age 74, TV has lost it's luster and has become extremely boring. (it has!)
—Guest arested1

black out

i find that keep my eyes lightly closed, let the colores flow through then try to turn them black. the resultant sleep is deep and restful. if you have had a very stressful day, then write a gratitude note to god.
