Introduction:
Many things are proclaimed miracles for cleansing your body and improving your energy. While some of the more extreme things can work for some people, there are some practices that will have most of us feeling better…and better about ourselves.
Exercise :

Some experts say that just 100 minutes of walking per week (or 15 minutes a day) for those who have previously been sedentary can have excellent benefits. The most beneficial level of exercise is that which causes you to perspire--a point at which toxins are released naturally through the skin.

Eliminate Tobacco, Sugar and Caffeine:

It goes without saying that if we want to “detoxify” our systems, we should first stop putting toxins into our bodies. The most important thing that we can do for our health is to stop smoking. Sugar and caffeine are also “energy thieves,” as excess amounts of them cause a spike in energy, followed by a “crash.” People often respond by having more, leading to a cycle of dependency. Quitting smoking is very difficult for most people; likewise, eliminating sugar and caffeine can also cause unpleasant physical symptoms initially. However, the resulting surge in energy is well worth the effort.

Dry Skin Brushing:

Dry skin brushing stimulates the lymphatic system, which enhances the body's natural detoxification processes. It also helps the body eliminate toxins through the skin. To do it, start with the feet and gently brush up toward the heart. Brush from the extremities toward the center. Brush gently in a circular motion around your abdomen and breasts. Only brush for a minute or two. The right dry skin brush is made of vegetable bristles that are neither too stiff nor too soft. You should feel some friction against the skin, but it shouldn’t scratch. It is best to do this right before taking a bath or shower.

Epsom Salt Baths:

Epsom salts can draw toxins out of your body. Start with a very clean tub, take a shower first, then fill the tub with the hottest water you can stand. Begin with l/4 cup of epsom salts, work up gradually to 4 cups, and as long as l/2 hour. If you experience light-headedness, drain the tub, and wait until you feel steady to leave the tub. Otherwise, take a shower after and dry off with a clean towel. With dry skin brushing, essential oils and soothing music, this can be a luxurious, yet inexpensive detox technique.

Massage :

Massage in all forms is beneficial, but a form known as lymphatic drainage massage focuses on stimulating the lymphatic system and flushing out toxins, by using light pressure and massaging certain points. It stimulates the immune system and is said to increase energy and help fight infections.

Detox Teas, Supplements and Fasting:

There are many products that claim to help the body flush out toxins. Fasting is also touted by many to aid the body in many ways. However, none of these things should be done without first consulting with a professional.
