Power Aging presents a great deal of information to the reader, and the program is complex. There is a heavy emphasis on nutritional supplements, including herbs and vitamins. The use of supplements should be undertaken with caution and in consultation with a physician, especially for people with health conditions. In general, I feel strongly that supplements are a poor substitute for a diet with a variety of healthy foods like fruits and vegetables.
Power Aging presents a wide range of information and concepts to the reader. While the focus is on nutrition, other subjects such as mental fitness are also covered. The third section of the book presents a detailed dietary and lifestyle program, complete with recipes.
